Head of Banking and Custody, Wealth Management Europe
RBC’s purpose, helping clients thrive and communities prosper, is at the centre of everything that we do and this enables our teams to be trusted and successful wealth managers. Our genuine approach to embracing diversity and inclusion means that we are able to constantly innovate and grow, responding to our clients’ needs and working with them to achieve their goals.
Joe Pearce was appointed as Head of Banking and Custody for Wealth Management Europe (WME) in April 2024, expanding on his previous UK responsibilities to include the Channel Islands. In his role, Joe will focus on developing and implementing our strategic banking growth initiatives in the UK, partnering with RBC Brewin Dolphin advisors to ensure that our proposition is attractive to RBC Brewin Dolphin clients, as well as existing RBC Wealth Management clients.
Joe’s focus, in conjunction with the WME Executive Committee, is to enhance the overall banking offering across the British Isles. He’ll also co-lead WME’s banking replacement project (‘Opus’), ensuring technology investments support our banking strategy for the future.
Prior to this role, Joe was appointed as CFO for RBC Wealth Management International in July 2019 and supported the RBC Investor and Treasury Services (I&TS), RBC Global Asset Management, and RBC BlueBay businesses in the region, in addition to his RBC Wealth Management International responsibilities.
Having been at RBC for 15 years, Joe has held a variety of finance and change roles across RBC Capital Markets, I&TS and RBC Wealth Management, building a strong understanding of our regional businesses, as well as a deep network across business lines and functional groups.
Joe qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and holds a BSc in Economics from University College London. He is a board director of RBC Channel Islands Limited and RBC Wealth Management (Jersey) Holdings Limited.
Additionally, Joe is the executive sponsor for iCARE. This is a community of employees with a shared interest in family caregiving responsibilities and/or a desire to support fellow colleagues. Through iCARE we’re building connections, internally and externally, to help inspire and facilitate “family care” conversations throughout RBC and within our communities.
