MINNEAPOLIS (November 4, 2020) – Deborah Sullivan, an RBC Wealth Management-U.S. financial advisor in the Southpointe branch in Pittsburgh, recently received the firm’s 2020 Gail Winslow Award. The honor recognizes women at RBC Wealth Management-U.S. who demonstrate exemplary efforts to help attract, support and retain female clients and financial advisors. Sullivan was presented the award at the firm’s Women’s Association of Financial Advisor’s (WAFA) annual conference, which took place virtually this year.

“Deborah embodies everything that the Gail Winslow Award represents,” said Kristen Kimmell, head of advisor recruiting and field marketing at RBC Wealth Management-U.S., and also co-executive sponsor of the WAFA group. “Not only is she a leader for women, but she is passionate about empowering her female clients to manage their financial future.”

Sullivan was recognized for her involvement with the WAFA group, her mentorship of women at RBC Wealth Management-U.S., and her support of her female clients. Sullivan is a strong proponent of helping female clients improve their financial literacy, especially in cases following a divorce or death of a spouse. She was featured as part of the RBC Wealth Management-U.S. Your Path video series, a recruiting initiative to attract more women into financial advisor roles at the firm.

The WAFA Gail Winslow Award was established in honor of Gail Winslow, a former RBC Wealth Management-U.S. financial advisor, who was a trailblazer for 60 years in the financial services industry. She led many financial advisors and clients to paths of opportunity and success through her motto “clients come first.”
